The current research began when researching sports images in general on the internet. Stumbling on a site that previewed 1970's magazine, the quality of the colour film was very appealing the way the natural light was used and the variants of pastel colours or bright vivid colours really gave thew viewer the idea that they were there.
In other words from my own perspective, a picture captivates the viewers attention, especially as old photography film appeals to me. on studying the GDR and East European Communism pictures of State officials, farm workers united and the general day to day shots demonstrating the efficiency of a socialists society captured the moment.
It was such pictures that leapt from the page as I busily studied the era,
